Joining involves the permanent connection of components. Kistler measurement technology is always used where solutions for particular applications have to be devised from the variety of different joining methods. One of our strengths is our ability to come up with customized solutions based on decades of experience of force measurement.

Kistler's new generation of electromechanical NC joining modules NCFH Type 2151B…, Type 2152A… and Type 2153A… offers a particularly compact, high-precision system for a wide variety of force displacement monitored press-fitting and joining tasks.

Both standard products, such as the Typ 9831C... welding force calibration transmitter with Typ 5825A2 welding force monitor, and customized designs, like a load washer incorporated in a servomotor, are used.

Crimpen

Crimping and wobble riveting
One process monitoring parameter that determines the quality of the crimping is the force needed to plastically deform the conductor. Kistler offers different measurement solutions for monitoring the crimping process.

  • Reduced production costs through elimination of need to reject bad parts

  • Defection of the following defects:
    • Broken individual strands of copper wire
    • Wire insulation not stripped properly
    • Dimensional discrepancies in connector

Bonding

Bonding
The particularly stringent requirements imposed on the reproducibility and reliability (standardly 99.98%) of the process demand an online process monitoring system to measure the bonding force.
